Set up & apply Product Specific Shipping
Tip: You will need to ENABLE Marketplace shipping configuration first to be able to edit shipping.
Do you have some products in your Madeit store that require a different shipping rate to your standard default method? You can apply a shipping rate to individual products either charged per item or one charge for each variant. This is called Product-Wise Fixed-Rate Shipping.
Firstly, enable this shipping method in the Shipping section if you haven't already done so.
🌟 Note: the shipping on product-wise fixed-rate shipping does NOT get included in the standard shipping range totals. So if you have a range where it changes based on the total order any products with this shipping method won't be included in the total.
We generally would see this shipping method used for unique, large or one-of-a-kind pieces.
In the Shipping Details section of your product listing select Product Wise Fixed rate shipping.
Charged per item
Charged per item means all items ordered from this product listing will incur the Shipping per item rate.
In the exampled shown we have entered Charged per item at $5 per item. So if the customer orders 2 of these items the shipping would be $10.
One charge for each variant
One charge for each variant means that the rate entered is per variant option and each variant will incur the shipping rate.
In the example shown we have entered One charge for each variant at $5.
- Example 1 - The customer orders 2 items from this listing of the same variant then the shipping is $5
- Example 2 - The customer orders 2 items from this listing with 2 different variants then the shipping is $10.
