Product Title Requirements
Product Titles
Please note we have updated our terms and conditions in relation to product titles;
- Must be 6-10 words maximum in titles
- Special Characters or numbers are not allowed to be at the start of titles
- You must not change your titles in order to show your products higher
- The use of swear words or any form of aggressive language is strictly prohibited.
- We may disable products that do not adhere to this
- You must not use trademarked or copyright names or terms - refer to the Madeit benchmark
Physical Products
- Your product title must be unique - if you have multiple products that are similar their titles must be different. Think colour, different ordering of words, size, shape
- Use upper and lower case to avoid 'shouting' the product title
- Be clear when explaining what the product is, who is it for and type (if applicable)
- Example - Newborn Baby Beanie with Pom Pom - Green
- Use product tags within the product listing for other searchable phrases to support the product listing
- Add further information in the product description - Product Description requirements
- Review the listing instore to ensure the layout is aesthetically pleasing and meets the Product title guidelines above
Digital products
- Your product title must be unique - if you have multiple products that are similar their titles must be different. Think colour, different ordering of words, size, shape,
- Indicate a digital download product in the title by using the word Digital or Downloadable as the first word
- Example - Digital Sewing pattern for Girls Dress
- Example - Downloadable Wall Art for Kids Room
- Be clear when describing what the product is in the title
- Use product tags within the product listing for other searchable phrases to support the product listing
- Add further information in the product description as required
- Review the listing instore to ensure the layout is aesthetically pleasing and meets the Product title guidelines above
