How to create discount codes

Discount codes can be a great way to reward a loyal customer, create an incentive to purchase certain products or offer a short term discount to particular customers and you are in the drivers seat with the offer.

You can create discount codes for a percentage (%) discount within your Madeit dashboard and it can be product specific or order based.

Go to Products, then select Discount Codes from the list

When no discounts have been set up yet your screen will look like this. Select Add Discount in the top right to begin setting up your first Discount code.

Discount type is percentage. Discount Value is the % discount you wish to offer. Eg 10%, 20%.

Applies to - Select Order. This applies the discount % to the order total for your store only.

Active dates - you need to enter a start date. End date is optional - if you wish to add an end date tick the Set End Date box and a field becomes available to enter an end date. Save Changes.

Go to Products, then select Discount Codes from the list

Applies to - Select Product. This applies the discount % to a specific product.

Click on Select Product, then type your product name in the pop-up box then you can select the applicable product from the list.

Specified product will now show in the product box (see screenshot below)
