All current memberships will need to switch to these new plans by 1st November 2024.

Here’s What’s Changing:
- New Subscription Plans:
- Starter Plan: $10/month, up to 15 products (total: active or inactive)
- Artist Plan: $15/month, up to 50 active products, with unlimited inactive products
- Business Plan: $25/month, up to 100 active products, with unlimited inactive products
- Monthly-Only Subscriptions:
- We are moving away from annual plans to offer only monthly subscriptions. This change simplifies our offerings and allows for more flexibility in managing your account, especially when upgrading or downgrading plans.
- Product Limits Adjustments:
- To maintain a balanced and diverse selection on the platform, we’ve adjusted the maximum number of active products per plan. This change helps ensure that every artist has an opportunity to showcase their work effectively and keeps our marketplace vibrant and engaging.
- Transition Process:
- All existing subscribers will need to be switched over to these new plans by 1st November 2024.
For Artists Currently on Monthly Plans:
You will need to select the appropriate new plan by 1st November 2024. If no selection is made by this date, we will automatically place you in the correct subscription based on the number of active and inactive products you have as of 1st November.
For Artists Currently on Annual Plans renewing before 1st November 2024:
When your annual plan is due for renewal, you will be temporarily switched to the current monthly plans at the interim rates of $7, $10, $15, or $20 (depending on your existing plan).
- Kick-Starter annual $80 will switch to $7/mo*
- Artist annual $99 will switch to $10/mo*
- Growth annual $149 will switch to $15/mo*
- Business annual $199 will switch to $20/mo*
You will then have until 1st November 2024 to select the appropriate new plan. If no selection is made by 1st November, we will automatically move you to the correct subscription based on the number of active and inactive products you have at that time.
*Please note these are transition amounts only and will not be for a full year, they will be valid only until switching to the new plans by 1st November 2024.
For artists with annual plans renewing after 1st November 2024:
Please select a new plan prior to the 1st November, 2024. We will issue a pro-rata credit for the remaining balance of your annual subscription. This credit will be available in your Stripe account and will be applied to your monthly fees until it is fully used. Please send an email to support@madeit.com.au to confirm you have selected a new plan and we can confirm the credit has been applied successfully.

10. What if I have more questions or need help with these changes?
1. Why is there a price change?
We understand that price changes can be concerning, and we want to be transparent about the reasons behind this decision. We have not adjusted our pricing since September 2023, despite significant economic changes and increased costs associated with running the platform. These updates are necessary to continue providing you with the best possible service and to ensure the platform remains sustainable for the long term. We are committed to supporting your creative business and will continue to invest in the tools and features that help you succeed.
2. Why is Madeit moving to monthly-only subscriptions?
We’ve found that managing upgrades and downgrades is much simpler with monthly subscriptions, allowing us to provide better support and flexibility for our artists. This change will help us to more efficiently handle any adjustments to your plan, ensuring a smoother experience for you.
If you want to increase your items over peak periods, such as Xmas, this will be super easy for you to upgrade/downgrade as it suits you.
3. How will the new product limits affect my store?
The new limits are designed to ensure a fair and balanced marketplace where all artists have the opportunity to shine. The adjustments are minimal, with only a small percentage of artists currently exceeding 100 active products (approx 0.04%). We believe this change will contribute to a more curated and engaging shopping experience for our customers.
4. What if I have more than the allowed number of active products?
If you have more active products than your plan allows, you have a few options:
- Upgrade Your Plan: Consider upgrading to the next plan if you need more active product slots.
- Switch Products to Inactive: You can manage your product list by switching some products to inactive status, which will free up space for new active listings.
- Use Product Variants: If you have similar products (e.g., different colors or fabric options), you can consolidate them by using product variants to list these options under a single product.
5. What is the difference between active and inactive products?
Active products are those that are visible to customers in your Madeit store, these will show as approved in your seller dashboard. Inactive products will show as disabled in your dashboard.
Please note that for the starter plan you are able to have 15 products total, for the Artisan and Business options you are able to have unlimited inactive (disabled) products.
6. What happens if I’m on an annual plan that renews after 1st November 2024?
If your annual plan renews after this date, we will issue a credit to your Stripe account for the unused portion of your subscription. This credit will automatically apply to your new monthly subscription until it’s used up. If you decide to close your store, we’ll refund the remaining balance as of 1st November 2024.
7. What if I want to cancel my subscription?
If you wish to cancel your subscription, please contact us directly, and we’ll process the cancellation for you. For any annual plans you will be refunded for the remaining balance (pro-rata) from 1st November 2024. If you’re on a monthly plan, you can cancel anytime by emailing us directly, and your subscription will not renew for the next month.
8. Can I choose to switch to a different plan before the changes take effect?
Absolutely! We encourage you to choose the plan that suits you most. The new pricing and options are already available for new subscribers, so you can make changes that best suit your needs whenever you’re ready.
9. Will my current subscription automatically switch to the new pricing?
Yes, all plans that have not switched over by 1st November will be switched over automatically based on the number of active/inactive products in their account.
