Step by Step Guide to Adding a Product on Madeit


NOTE: Your products remain pending until you publish them. This ensures you are in control of when they go LIVE.

After adding your products ensure you then move to LIVE.

How to move from pending to Live. - click this link for the video and step by step below


1. Access the Product Section 0:00


  • Open your Madeit dashboard.
  • Navigate to the product section.

2. Start Adding a Product 0:06

  • Click on 'Add Product' in the top right corner.

3. Enter Product Details 0:20

  • Type in the product title - ensure it is unique, relevant & no more than 10 words
  • Add a description for the product.

4. Upload Media 0:29

  • Click in the grey area to add media.
  • Gather all images and videos in one folder for easy selection.
  • Select multiple files by holding 'Shift' while clicking.

5. Set Pricing 1:05

  • Enter the product price (e.g., $10).

6. Manage Inventory 1:24

  • Input the quantity available for sale (e.g., 4) - if you have an unlimited quantity, you would select to NOT Track your inventory, and leave the quantity field blank.  If you have limited stock, i.e 1, you would input the quantity as 1, and be sure to toggle the 'track inventory' to ON, and input 1 in the quantity field.
  • Specify if the product is physical or digital.

7. Shipping Options 1:38

  • Leave the custom shipping option as is unless you want to set custom rates.

8. Define Product Type and Tags 1:52

  • Select the product category.
  • Use predefined tags to avoid spelling errors and ensure consistency (if you are offering free shipping, be sure to tick the free shipping tag and the little blue flag will appear in your listings when you view your Store)

9. Delivery Details 2:28

  • Indicate if the product is ready to ship or made to order.

10. Personalization Options 3:08

  • Specify if the product can be personalized.

11. Custom Fields 3:19

  • Select any applicable custom fields for filters.

12. Save the Product 3:30

  • Click 'Save' to store the product in pending status.

13. Approve the Product 3:37

  • Once the product is saved, review the media.

PENDING PRODUCTS-Go LIVE with your products

  • After adding your product/s to your account they will sit in 'PENDING' until you convert them to LIVE.
  • You move your product/s to LIVE when you are ready. This means if you aren't ready to go live with the listing, simply save it, and return to your Pending list when you are ready to approve.
  • Select the products to move from pending to Live using the left hand tick box. You can choose multiple products.
  • Select 'move to live' at the top of the product listing panel - confirm the change.
  • You may receive an email letting you know your product is LIVE (and accordingly, if you move back to pending) 
  • If MadeIt un-approve your listing for copyright or imagery reasons, you will receive the similar email, but there will be a reason provided by MadeIt,.
