Discounts - Automatic and Generated

1. Access Settings 0:22
- Go to your dashboard.
- Click on 'Settings'.
2. Create an Automatic Discount 0:34
- Click on 'Create Discount'.
- Select 'Automatic Discount' from the drop-down.
3. Name Your Discount 0:47
- Enter a name for the discount (e.g., 'Autumn Sale').
- This name will be visible to customers at checkout.
4. Choose Discount Type 0:57
- Select either a percentage or a fixed amount discount.
- For this example, choose '10% off'.
5. Set Duration of Discount 1:09
- Choose a start date (e.g., today).
- Set an end date (e.g., end of June).
6. Set Minimum Purchase Requirements 1:27
- Enter a minimum purchase amount (e.g., $1).
- Alternatively, set a minimum quantity of items.
7. Limit Discount Usage (Optional) 1:48
- Choose to limit the discount to one per customer.
- Optionally, limit the total number of times the discount can be used.
8. Create the Discount 2:13
- Click 'Create Discount'.
- Review the discount details (name, status, value, usage count).
9. Edit or Remove Discount (if needed) 2:45
- Note that you cannot edit the discount once created.
- If an error is made, delete the discount and create a new one.
10. Create a Generated Discount Code 3:13
- Click 'Create Discount' again.
- Select 'Discount Code' for a generated code.
- Set it as active without an end date.
- You can set minimum purchase requirements or leave it open.
13. Create the Discount Code 4:24
- Click 'Create'.
- Copy the generated code for distribution.
14. Distribute the Discount Code 5:02
- Share the code via social media, email, or thank you cards.
15. Understand Discount Application 5:37
- Automatic discounts apply at checkout based on set parameters.
- Discount codes must be entered by customers at checkout.
16. Note on Discount Overlap 6:09
- Customers cannot use multiple discounts together.
- The automatic discount will override any other discounts.
17. Manage Discounts 6:31
- Continue creating or deleting discounts as needed.
- Expired discounts will remain in the list but marked as inactive.
