We’re rolling out the brand-new Artist Dashboard, designed to make selling on Madeit smoother, simpler, and better for handmade artists. This upgrade will affect dashboard access, payouts, and how you manage your store.

🚀 Upgrade Summary


This upgrade has been a long time coming and it’s all about making the back end of Madeit as beautiful, clean, and intuitive as the front.

We’ve rebuilt the Artist Dashboard from the ground up.

What’s changing:

  • 🧭 Simplified navigation – A cleaner layout to help you find what you need fast
  • 📦 Improved product creation – Easier to list and edit your products without getting lost in tabs
  • 🚚 Streamlined shipping – Options now clearly grouped and easier to manage
  • 🚚 Additional shipping - Add shipping by weight & express shipping!
  • 🔍 Better product search – Quickly search and filter your own products
  • 📨 Instant customer messaging – Direct messages with buyers, built right in
  • 💰 Cleaner orders view – Manage orders and fulfilment with fewer clicks
  • 🧾 Custom Discounts – Create your own custom discount codes (eg thankyou10) and have an automated discount to use across your whole store!

🔐 Access During the Upgrade


  • From 7pm Monday 19 May, you won’t be able to access your current Artist Dashboard
  • The platform will be completely offline on Tuesday 20 May
  • You’ll receive login access to the new dashboard on Wednesday 21 May at 10am
  • Customers will still be able to shop: your storefront and products will remain live
  • Messages and payment history will not transfer to the new dashboard
    • If you need anything from your current inbox or past orders, please download or save it.
    • Access to the current platform will be closed Friday 30th May
  • All orders marked as fulfilled by Monday 19 May will be paid out on Tuesday 20 May
  • We’re not onboarding any new artists during this time, our full focus is 100% on you

What You Need to Do


Before Monday 19 May at 7pm (AEST):

  • 📦 Mark any outstanding orders as fulfilled to be included in Tuesday’s payout
  • 📅 Add Zoom sessions to your calendar (details in timeline below)

Before Friday 30 May:

  • 📥 Download any important messages from your inbox
  • 💳 Save payment history or transaction records you may need for your records

FAQs



Q: Will my shop still be visible to customers during the upgrade?

A: Yes! Your shop and products will remain live and visible. Customers can continue browsing and buying — you just won’t be able to log in or make updates during the downtime.


Q: What if I need to update shipping or fulfil an order during the downtime?

A: From 7pm Monday 19 May to 10am Wednesday 21 May, you won’t be able to access your dashboard. That means no shipping updates, order changes, or fulfilment actions can be made during this time. Please make any important updates before Monday evening.


Q: What if I have custom orders or customers waiting on a response?

A: We recommend reaching out to any customers with active or custom orders before Monday evening to let them know you’ll be offline for about 48 hours. You won’t be able to respond to messages or view your inbox during the platform downtime.


Q: Will I still be paid for unfulfilled or custom orders?

A: Yes. All orders placed before the upgrade, including custom and unfulfilled orders, will be included in the Tuesday 20 May payout.


Q: Will my listings, orders, and data transfer over to the new dashboard?

A: Yes, everything you’ve listed and all current orders will carry over to the new system. You don’t need to re-upload anything.


Q: Will my message history and payment history transfer?

A: No. These won’t appear in the new dashboard. If you want to keep a record of any past messages or payouts, please download or screenshot them before Friday 30 May.


Q: Where can I access the Zoom recordings?

A: All Zoom session replays will be uploaded to the Zoom section in the front end of Madeit. To access simply login with your email address linked to your madeit store and it will be in the courses section. You can access them anytime.
